This is the final project of second semester in my first year. The purpose of the project is to design a parasite building for the current school library Hunt Library. I identify the problem to be that the current library lacks natural light and enough space for students. So my design carves into the original library and opens up circulation, collaborative and introspective space. The design of a glass dome also allows more natural light into the library and wind breeze into the originally enclosed study space, providing an "empty" indoor space in the crowded campus in Carnegie Mellon University.
